I'm a long time user of the PC-Version and so it was only natural for me to choose ESET for my mobile. I have an issue with it though. The app seems to stuck scanning each time another app gets an update. And I cannot simply swipe the notification of the ongoing scan (that is stuck) away. Each time I have to manually start a new scan or in some cases restart my phone. That in itself is annoying, but what made me choose 2 stars for the rating is that my bugreport never got an answer from ESET.

Unfortunately, the anti-virus database will not update on Samsung Galaxy's most current cellphone (since the last app update from Google Play Store). Interestingly, this app works fine on Kindle Fire HD tablets. While I've used this app for years on different devices without problem, it's not really of much practical use with an old, out of date database; a quick Google search seems to indicate that many others are also experiencing this issue.

Good program, bad service. Problems with activation every year. Notwithstanding the payment of the subscription the activation fails, and I have to contact customer service. Last year the prog. was activated automatically after I have contacted the customer service, this year I was provided with Act. Key which doesn't work. The solution provided was to reinstall the program(((. I have reinstalled, activation fails, same error. The solution prop. is to provide remote access to my phone suspicious
Hello, we are sorry to hear about your experience. If you renew your subscription, no action is required on your part. Activation is only needed if you do not renew your subscription and purchase a new one. In that case, registration and activation are required.
